The United States and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran with explosions reported in Tehran, whilst Iran has retaliated with missile strikes on US military bases and Israeli targets across the region
The United States and Israel launched an assault on Iran on Saturday, with explosions witnessed and heard throughout Tehran and other regions of the country.
In a social media statement this morning, Donald Trump declared that the Iranian strikes, codenamed Operation Epic Fury, will “obliterate” Iranian forces.
He said the US military was conducting a “massive and on-going operation to prevent this very wicked, radical dictatorship from threatening America and our core national security interests.” He said the US would “obliterate” Iran’s navy and “annihilate” the nation’s missile programme and ensure that Iran does not acquire a nuclear weapon.
However, Iran has retaliated by unleashing their own wave of missiles and drones at Israel and several military installations across the Middle East where US forces are stationed, reports the Mirror US.
