This is the incredible moment £20million in cash was poured out for a group of lucky employees in a generous end-of-year bash.
Lucky employees at a firm in China were presented with millions in cash spread across 800 banquet tables and allowed to take home as much as they could carry. The company, Henan Kuangshan Crane, treated their workers at a lavish annual party, on February 13. Around 7,000 people are thought to have attended the crane companies flashy gala with a video showing the workers look at the tables full of money, under the bright coloured lights, with joy.

One employee was reportedly able to grab and take home a whopping $13,000 in cash (£9,600), according to Korean newspaper Chosun Daily.
The company’s owner Cui Peijun told the excited crowd that he has previously given expensive gifts to employees but wanted to shake things up this year.
Peijun reportedly said: “Why are we giving out washing machines? Do you think gold prices have gone up? In previous years, we gave necklaces and rings, bring up the cash and give everyone another 20,000 yuan ($2,800).”
He also explained why he did not hand out bonuses directly to people in a more traditional way. The boss said: “Some people ask why we don’t just transfer the money to their accounts, but that way, it’s just cold numbers.”
Peijun owns 98.88% of his crane firm – which operates in more than 130 countries. His companies builds and hires out cranes to businesses.
The generous owner has been no stranger to handing out money to his employees following a successful year. Henan Kuangshan Crane made a net profit of around £28million in 2024 and the owner handed $17million of that back to workers.
The crane company even gave the 40 highest-performing employees a share of £6.3million, in 2023. The three best salespeople over £550,000 each as a bonus that year.
Peijun does not just hand money out at the end of the year, as he has also given women in his company money for International Women’s Day. Last March, the firm handed out around £170,000 to about 2,000 female workers.
The generous business owner has also shared his abundance outside of his successful company. In 2022, Peijun shared out nearly £3.5million between 4,000 university students from low-income families.
At the time he said: “Poverty should not be passed down to the next generation. They shouldn’t be stopped from attending school because of poor living conditions.”
