WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT. The 18-year-old Brit was subjected to the sickening attack, which was recorded and shared on Snapchat, in August, 2023. Her attackers were sentenced earlier this week

A ‘wolf pack’ gang who raped a British teenager in Magaluf yelled vile comments, including an eight-word insult as she was subjected to the horrific ordeal.

The men also “laughed out loudly” and screamed horrific threats during the heartbreaking 30-minute attack on their 18-year-old victim while surrounding her in a hotel room, including: “There’s four of us and there’s a cow”. Seven French men and one Swiss national accepted prison sentences totalling just over 73 years before a trial was about to begin into the incident earlier this week.

The Audiencia Provincial court in Palma heard the Brit “fell into a state of unconscious” while being subjected to the sickening attack, which was recorded and shared on Snapchat, at the BH Mallorca Resort on August 14, 2023. Five of the self-confessed sex attackers penetrated their victim and were sentenced to either eleven or nine years in prison.

Another confessed to a sexual assault that didn’t involve penetration and was sentenced to four years prison. All eight admitted to filming the sickening gang rape, while two posted footage on Snapchat. All of the men were aged between 18 and 26 when they were arrested.

Khalil Abderrahmen Mejbri and Romain Charles Michel Galatioto “orally penetrated” the victim, who had been drinking heavily before the attack. Galatioto did so seven times while the teenager was naked apart from her bra, according to court documents.

Frenchman Anthony Guy Gerard Wengler and Swiss national Lucas Haiaiel Ngandjeu Djamen Tchatchou raped her at “least once”. Thomas Eric Coretin Wisniewski who is also from France, Tchatchou and Wengler also “spat” on her and “hit and whipped” the teen along with Mejbri after Frenchman Satilmis Sahan slapped her.

French national Anthony Auque, who was holidaying with Wengler, and fellow Frenchman Mouhamadou Wade watched on. Despite the attack having taken place nearly three years ago, the identities of the attackers was not publicly known until they appeared in court this week.

They had been facing prison sentences totalling more than 150 years if convicted as charged, but decided to plead guilty as part of a plea deal. The agreement, signed by all eight men, said: “Each one of the defendants with their mobile phones, during the incidents previously described, recorded several videos in which they honed in on their victim’s private parts and in which they appeared obliging her to carry out sexual acts or performing acts of an identical nature upon her as aforementioned.”

It added: “Boasting about the actions taken and with the clear intention of humiliating and violating his victim, Mejbri and Wade sent and shared the content of their recordings through the Snapchat app. Those recordings were taken during the time in which their victim was semi-conscious or unconscious so that she was unable to consent to it.”

The sickening footage recorded by the men, who came from different groups and didn’t all know each other before they targeted their victim, reportedly proved key in their arrests and subsequent successful prosecution. One of the suspects was accused of filming 14 videos lasting 170 seconds, and another of filming five videos lasting 142 seconds.

A 14-page indictment, laying out the public prosecution case against the suspects, says six of the attackers went to a room at the BH Mallorca Resort where one of them was staying. Once there they met another two men, including a roommate, who were already inside with the British teenager.

After assaulting the victim, one man is said to have gone out into the corridor of the hotel room and offered “free sex” with her to strangers. The court papers state: “There, the accused men, during approximately half an hour, aware of the semi-conscious state the young woman was in and at one point seeing she had fallen in a state of unconsciousness, and taking advantage of the closed room she had been taken into, stripped her naked leaving her with only her bra on. They then carried out different sexual acts on her, acting by common consent and without her consent.”

The charges included five counts of rape involving two or more men simultaneously and “particularly degrading and humiliating intimidation and violence”, one count of sexual assault without penetration, and mistreatment and privacy crimes relating to the publication of the mobile phone videos. Mejbri and Wisniewski accepted a nine-year prison sentence for a crime of “sexual assault with carnal access”, a severe form of sexual crime involving non-consensual sexual penetration of the victim.

Wengler, Tchatchou and Galatioto were handed 11-year jail sentences after admitting the same offence. Sahan admitted a crime of “sexual assault without penetration” for which he was given a four-year prison sentence.

All eight men, the five self-confessed sexual offenders as well as Auque and Wade who admitted to filming their victim being targeted, were each handed two year three month prison sentences. Sahan, Auque and Wade had already been granted bail before the scheduled start of the trial and remain on bail.

At least two of them are unlikely to be hauled back to prison because of time served on remand before they were granted bail around nine months ago. The other five remain in prison pending a further court hearing next month where a judge is set to be asked by their defence lawyers to agree to deport them from Spain once they have served part of their jail time.

Sources say they believe they could be deported after six or seven years, although public prosecutors are expected to try and convince judges that they should serve their full sentences.
