Leaked footage has suggested Mojtaba Khamenei escaped death from the missile that killed his father by just seconds

The new supreme leader of Iran was spared death by just seconds when US/ Israeli missiles blitzed his home, leaked audio has revealed.

Mojtaba Khamenei, son of slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was named as the former regime leader’s replacement but the new supreme leader has not been seen in weeks. The son was targeted in the same attack that killed his father and other members of the regime but he missed the deadly strike by moments. Leaked audio footage reportedly revealed the new leader missed death because he stepped outside “to do something” while his family were gathered at the house at around 9am for Ramadan.

A leaked recording from the head of protocol for now-dead Ali Khamenei, Mazaher Hosseini, recalled an account of the attack that rocked Iran’s political elite.

In a recording of Hosseini speaking to senior clerics and political leaders, obtained by the Telegraph, he said: “God’s will was that Mojtaba had to go out to the yard to do something and then return. He was outside and was heading upstairs when they struck the building with a missile. His wife, Ms Haddad, was martyred instantly.”

The son had been living in the Tehran compound with his father and the site also included the homes of Khamenei’s other children. Hosseini claimed multiple locations were blitzed at the same time.

In the recording he added: “These devils had considered several locations within the office complex to strike – one of them was the place of the supreme leader. They hit that location with three missiles.”

He said Mojtaba Khamenei’s home, on an upper floor, was hit as well as the residence below which belonged to his brother-in-law. He also said the missiles were so powerful that they cut the head of Ali Khamanei’s brother-in-law “in half”.

Hosseini also claimed that the new supreme leader suffered a leg injury during the attack but his wife and son were killed. Despite this, rumours about the new leader have swirled across the globe as he has not appeared in public or in a video recording since the deadly strikes.

Reports last week suggested the new supreme leader was in a coma following the blitz and had lost at least one leg. It was also claimed Mojtaba Khamenei suffered serious stomach or liver damage.

Another report from this weekend has alleged the new supreme leader was flown out to Moscow for leg surgery which was “personally offered by Putin”. He reportedly underwent a “successful” operation at one of Putin’s presidential palaces, according to Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida.
