Jeffrey Epstein said he ‘wanted to marry’ his ex-girlfriend’s 19-year-old daughter Celina Dubin and agreed to buy ‘sexy clothes’ for her, according to recently released files
Jeffrey Epstein was ‘obsessed’ with his ex-girlfriend’s teenage daughter and wanted to marry her, disturbing new emails show.
The paedophile financier appeared to be fixated on Celina Dubin, a Harvard University-trained New York doctor and daughter of former Miss Sweden Eva Andersson Dubin, who he dated in the 1980s.
Newly-released files shared by the US Department of Justice show that Epstein told friends in 2014 that Celina was the “only person he wanted to marry” – despite her being just 19 years old at the time.
Despite his and Eva’s relationship ending in 1990, Jeffrey Epstein is said to have maintained an unusually close relationship with Celina, referring to her as his “goddaughter” in multiple emails.
Emails between Epstein and Eva from 2010 meanwhile show that she invited him to stop by her home in Colorado while Celina had five of her friends round to stay. The exchanges took place two years after Epstein was convicted of soliciting and procuring a minor for prostitution.
She wrote: “Come and visit next week. Celina will have 5 friends over.”
A family spokesperson for the Dubin family told Business Insider that the friends included four boys and one girl.
In 2012, Eva invited Epstein to a school in Brooklyn to watch Celina play lacrosse. The financier wrote to Celina afterwards: “It was great fun, my first game.”
She replied: “I wish you could have come to a game where I played offense but I’m glad you enjoyed it!!!!” Celina wrote back in an online chat.”
A Dubin family spokesperson said Epstein spectated from the sidelines with Celina’s parents.
In other messages, numbering in the hundreds, Celina refers to Epstein as ‘Uncle F’ – and asks him to buy her clothes.
One message, sent by Celina when she was 15, reads: “Hey unc! You’re in the city now right? What are you up to today”
And while Epstein was in Paris in 2011, he agreed to buy “sexy” clothes for Celina.
Asked what she would like, she wrote:
“Anything!! You know what I like, I also need some cool but also flattering and somewhat sexy (ish) shirts that I can wear when I go out at night.”
“100%,” Epstein replied.
Epstein later used his connections when Celina wanted to become a professional model, and later on, when she needed to get into medical school.
“Do u think I should do another photoshoot soon? Should I get in touch with Jean Luc or Faith Kates,” Celina wrote to “Uncle F” in 2011.
“Whatever you want. Jean Luc better,” Epstein replied.
Emails revealed that in 2012, Epstein reached out to Jean-Luc Brunel – a prominent modelling agent, photographer, and close associate – to organise a fashion shoot for Celina. She was 17 years old at the time and had never modelled professionally before.
Brunel took his own life in a French prison in 2022 while awaiting trial for the rape of a minor.
There is no evidence in the emails that Epstein and Celina had any romantic relationship. A Dubin family spokesperson told US media: “There is no justification for dragging Celina into a public controversy she had nothing to do with.”
