Vidyavardhaka College to host ‘Vidwath 2k26’

Vidyavardhaka First Grade College, Mysuru, will host ‘Vidwath 2K26 – Knowledge Blaze’, a two-day State-level intercollegiate fest, on its premises on Sheshadri Iyer Road on February 27 and 28.

Organised under the aegis of Vidyavardhaka Sangha, the event marks Season-18 of the college’s flagship intercollegiate ‘Biztech Extravaganza’. The fest aims to provide a platform for undergraduate students to showcase their talents in commerce, management, technical and cultural domains, college authorities said at a press conference on February 24.

The event seeks to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical exposure by simulating real-world business scenarios. Students from various colleges across Karnataka are expected to participate, offering opportunities for idea exchange, networking, and professional growth.

University of Mysore Vice-Chancellor N.K. Lokanath will inaugurate the event. Naveen Chander C., business strategist and founder-CEO of 3Q Sutantra Industry-Academia, Bengaluru, will be the chief guest.

The fest will feature a wide range of competitions. Core events include Vitha Therige (Finance and Taxation), Vyapara Anveshane (Business Plan), Maarata Parva (marketing), Maanava Mantra (Human Resource Management), Prashneyannu Thundarisi (Break the Query) and Sanketha Bidisi, Prabhalya Sadhisi (Decoding and Dominating).

In addition, several non-core, sports and cultural events will be held, including Chintanegala Chelume (Chill Spill – Skit Event).

Cash prizes, trophies, and certificates will be awarded to winners and runners-up.

Actor Pranam Devaraj will be the chief guest at the valedictory function of the event on February 28 at 6.30 p.m.
